Ski lifts in Breckenridge, CO

The first ski resort in the country opened this week. Seeing that (and all of my Colorado friends’ posts about snow and skiing and all things mountain-y) is definitely making me jones a bit for Summit County. In honor of that magical place, here’s a photo I took on the mountain at Breckenridge. Any of you getting geared up for the winter season?

  1. I can’t wait to ski this winter. It’s pretty much the only reason I like winter at all.

  2. Ahh, that’s beautiful! West Virginia is right behind Colorado, though, now that they’re getting 3 feet of snow!

    • Hi Carla! Yes, I’ve seen on the news that Snowshoe’s been getting dumped on! Now, if they only had power to run the lifts…

  3. Heading there in a week – meaning they have exactly 9 days to get snow otherwise, I’m going to cry. In all probability, I mean that literally.

    • Ahh, I will keep my fingers crossed for you (and maybe even do a snow dance for Ullr). Enjoy Breck, and let me know if you need any suggestions or advice — that place has got my heart!
