What No Music Lover Should Travel Without

So, I kind of lied with this post’s title. The subject of this week’s Humpworthy Hump Day is not only something no music lover should travel without, but something that no one should travel without. Even if they only kind of like music (LOSER).

Enter the X-mini II Capsule Speaker. It’s tiny, I know. But, like Alec Baldwin on his daughter’s voicemail, it is LOUD. Only it sounds way nicer. If you haven’t heard the sound it produces, then you need to get yourself to an electronics store and check it out.

The first time I heard it was on the beach in Korea, and I immediately looked around for who had brought the boombox (because they obvs would become my new best friend.. boomboxes? in 2011? amazing). To my dismay, no boomboxes were to be found. The awesomely loud music was coming out of a speaker half the size of my guinea pig.

And there’s no way it could have been confused with a boombox anyway, because the sound was really high quality. It is perfect for the beach, camping, or hanging out at the hostel. I even used it on a really long cab ride in the Philippines and had our taxi driver drumming his fingers to the Avett Brothers (so dreamy.. well, one of them).

Value, quality, and portability? Amazing. If you travel and like things that sound nice, I’d highly recommend the X-mini II Capsule Speaker. Have you tried it? What do you think?
